Remember last year, when we went to the local strawberry festival?
No?
Oh. Well, we did. And we had so much fun that we went this year, too!
We met up with some friends and some family. Little Boy was brave enough to ride the little train:
Look, he has his own personalized barrel! [No, not really.]
Little Boy, some friends, and a cousin. Little Boy LOVES taking tours of the farm [on a big wagon pulled by a tractor. Think hay ride, but without the hay]. Well, he loves the tractor, anyway.
One of the cousins took a little nap.
And we left with some souvenirs. They didn't last very long. Guess we'll have to go back for more next year.

Such Is Possible

"To be angry is to yield to the influence of Satan. No one can make us angry. It is our choice. If we desire to have a proper spirit with us at all times, we must choose to refrain from becoming angry. I testify that such is possible."

And Ye Would Not
"O Jerusalem, Jerusalem... how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!"

Spongesquare Bobpants
Little Boy's favorite TV show, by far, is Spongebob Squarepants. Perhaps you've heard of it? [Ha.]
I kind of like Spongebob. I think he's funny. I know that puts me in the mommy minority--lots of parents don't let their kids watch Spongebob at all. And I kind of understand why--yeah, there's bathroom humor, and the characters insult each other, and Spongebob is annoying. All true. But I like it anyway.
That said, if I ever noticed that Little Boy were acting out more or learning insults, that'd be the end of Spongebob for our family. But, honestly? I've noticed more of that from him after watching Kipper than after watching Spongebob. Every kid is different, I guess. As for being in the mommy minority...when have I ever let that bother me?

A One and a Two
Two things about our new apartment:
1. We don't have internet there yet. Kind of on purpose. We'll probably get it hooked up sometime next week.
2. It's been a good 15 degrees hotter in western WA than average. That might be okay if air conditioners were standard equipment in Pacific Northwest homes, but...they're not. And a ceiling fan can only do so much.
One thing about my mom's house (my parents live up the road from us):
1. They have internet and air conditioning.
So Little Boy and I have been spending a lot of time at Grandma's house. Little Boy loves it, of course, because there's more room to run around (and around and around). And more room to jump off of stuff, which is one of his latest hobbies.
And also because Grandma lets him have animal crackers whenever he wants.

"If we're not reading the scriptures daily, our testimonies are growing thinner [and] our spirituality isn't increasing in depth."
