We heard it fighting with the raccoon all the time but this morning we found a dead body; to be exact, only the tail, skull and skin are leftover. It was very sad because this cat always came and chilled in our backyard ever since we moved here. In fact, it was like a part of our family. We bought cat food and even fed it everyday like it was our cat. Unfortunately, it's gone now :(Akatsukishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00530532747107538943noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4208382376490475668.post-33613135634354653262011-08-08T21:45:08.673-07:002011-08-08T21:45:08.673-07:00OK, without getting too graphic...how do you know ...OK, without getting too graphic...how do you know it was a raccoon? It wouldn't be my first guess, but I'm sure that you're positive. And I'm also glad you didn't post a pic of it (I know I shouldn't have worried, but you like to use pics at the top and I was). So thank you.Meganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06544087621043452417noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4208382376490475668.post-59066468753745600032011-08-05T06:43:10.827-07:002011-08-05T06:43:10.827-07:00Change: I've heard that they are not just terr...Change: I've heard that they are not just territories

To: I've heard that they are not just territorial.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07476750060398813600noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4208382376490475668.post-44578645242128065712011-08-05T06:42:00.954-07:002011-08-05T06:42:00.954-07:00It's very sad... and unfortunately I've he...It's very sad... and unfortunately I've heard it a lot. Maybe it's because we always had dogs and my dad has a healthy respect/fear of raccoons.

Raccoons are very interesting critters... and they do eat cats, dogs, small critters left in cages (rabbits, guinea pigs, etc.). So... yeah.

I do not know a ton about raccoons, I've heard that they are not just territories... they are opportunists so will take on whatever they can. Unfortunately your cat was old and slow... so an opportunity. :(Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07476750060398813600noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4208382376490475668.post-82029301937694834022011-08-04T21:37:50.365-07:002011-08-04T21:37:50.365-07:00This is so awful.
